brief
Create the visuals for a concert + art exhibition dedicated to the composer Olivier Messiaen
overview
A deceivingly simple request at first, this project allowed for creative exploration in the portrayal of music in a visual medium.
With a sober layout that allows the colors to speak out loud, the finished pieces walk the line between conventional and unexpected, a defining trait in Messiaen's scores.
Subtle, yet eloquent, the color aberrations on the title connect with the composer's chromesthesia: the ability to see color in music.
These elements break the monochromatic aesthetic convention in the visual communication of museums, to which the rest of the composition pays homage to.
